In a remarkable turn of events, experienced Indian seamer Umesh Yadav has completed 100 wickets on home soil.

Yadav unlocked the milestone by scalping three wickets during Australia's first innings of the ongoing third Test between the two teams in Indore.

In this process, he became the thirteenth bowler and only the fifth pacer to attain the landmark.

Most Test wickets by Indian pacers at home

  • Kapil Dev: 219 Wickets in 65 Matches

Regarding the game, riding on Yadav's reverse-swing masterclass, India stormed their way back into the game, bundling Australia out for 197 in the first innings.

In response, India have lost the early wicket of Shubman Gill, who was cleaned up by Nathan Lyon. As of writing, the hosts are 17 for 1, trailing behind Australia's first innings total by 71 runs.
