Big Bash League (BBL) club the Hobart Hurricanes have added two new members — Xavier Doherty and Brad Loveluck —to their already impressive support staff for the upcoming 2022-23 edition. Former Australian player Xavier Doherty was part of the Hurricanes during his playing days, having represented the club in 26 BBL matches, claiming 24 wickets.

Doherty, a World Cup winner with Australia, will work with the likes of Asif Ali, Shadab Khan, Will Parker, D'Arcy Short, and Paddy Dooley.

Loveluck, a veteran coach in the Tasmanian cricket circles, was earlier the head coach of New Town in the Wilson Homes Cricket Tasmania Premier League (CTPL), apart from coaching the Camberwell Magpies in the Victorian Premier Cricket competition.

Loveluck has also spent time with underage and pathway systems for both Cricket Tasmania and Cricket Victoria, as well as being involved with Tasmania men's second XI.

The Hurricanes begin their BBL 13 tourney against the Melbourne Stars on December 16.
