Harry Brook is one of the most promising young cricketers at the moment. The Englishman had a rapid rise at the international level, caught everyone's attention during the Pakistan tour, when he smashed three Test centuries in a single series.

His T20 exploits is known to the entire world and Sunrisers paid a hefty price to get his services for the IPL 2023. The 24-year-old was purchased for INR 13.25 crore and will be making his IPL debut against the Rajasthan Royals.

Speaking ahead of the game, Harry Brook seemed delighted to have joined the SRH franchise and looks to get a big score on his debut.

"Hopefully we will have a pack crowd. They painted the whole stadium orange the other day. Its good to be out here. I haven't played T20 cricket in a while now since the World cup so hopefully I can go out there, hit few off the middle and get myself to a decent score and hopefully contribute to the team.

Adil Rashid is world class. He is one of the best bowlers in the world for a reason. He's a wicket taker. Just like most leg spinners but he's a very clever bowler as well. He watches the batter hard and is fast to adapt to what they are doing so he's going to be an extremely good addition to this team and hopefully has a good game as well.

We are missing the captain which is a big miss. Obviously they've got all the commitments. Just concentrating on this game for now. It will be nice to welcome the boys here so we've got a big night ahead."

Apart from Brooks, SRH have handed debut caps to Mayank Agarwal, Glenn Phillips and Adil Rashid. In the absence of regular skipper Aiden Markram, Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been handed the captains armband.
