Former South African skipper and legend Graeme Smith, after the success of the SA20 league, has spoken about the possibility of Indian players participating in the tournament if BCCI decides to change their policy in the future.

The commissioner of the league mentioned that they have really good relations with the Indian board which could help them sign players from that nation. He further commented on how they are in talks with BCCI secretary Jay Shah regarding the same which would be beneficial to them once they change their stand.

Smith disclosed that they have a great relationship with IPL franchise owners which could help them in future as they would be in a better position to attract big names from the Indian market.

"We think we are perfectly positioned if the BCCI ever changes their mind. Obviously, the relationship with the IPL owners does put us at an advantage, but it’s still a BCCI decision."We will work with Jay (BCCI secretary Jay Shah) and everybody else, and if they decide that there should be a change in the policy, then we will talk to them about it."

SA20's general reception has been brilliant with the league getting full attendance during the group stage and all eyes will now be on the Semi-finals and finals.
