Kuldeep Yadav's resurgence in Indian cricket has been nothing short of remarkable. In 2022, Yadav claimed 23 wickets across formats in the limited chances he got to play. He has also sustained his consistency this year, picking 11 wickets at an average of 18.27.

Meanwhile, former India opener Wasim Jaffer has lauded the left-arm spinner for his consistency.

He also expects the wily bowler to do well in the T20I series against New Zealand starting today.

Speaking to ESPN Cricinfo, Jaffer further stated that Kuldeep should get a chance to play in the upcoming Test series against Australia.

Here's what Jaffer said

"He wasn't given the chance earlier. Since Axar Patel isn't there, the management has given him a consistent run. He plays a match, gets dropped, returns, performs, and gets axed again. So, it's not easy for any player,

"But he has shown remarkable consistency and I won't be surprised if he does well in this series. I expect him to get a chance against Australia as well."

The first of three T20Is between India and New Zealand will be played at Ranchi this evening.
