Delhi Bulls sign Harbhajan Singh for Abu Dhabi T10 League’s 6th season

Former India international Harbhajan Singh will feature in the upcoming season of the Abu Dhabi T10 League which begins at the end of next month. The spinner has been signed up by Delhi Bulls, a team which is captained by Dwayne Bravo.

“This is a very interesting and new challenge for the bowler in me, and I am delighted to be playing for the Delhi Bulls in the Abu Dhabi T10 this year. It won’t be easy for the bowlers, but I hope to make my mark here and help my team win its first title in the tournament,

"I have had wonderful interactions with the team owner – Neelesh Bhatnagar, who’s a dear friend, and I am impressed by his commitment towards this team for the last five years.”

Harbhajan made his international debut in 1998 and played for India for over two decades, picking 711 wickets across formats. He was a part of the Indian team that won the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 ODI World Cup. He has also won three trophies in the IPL, a tournament in which he bagged 150 wickets in 163 wickets. With the bat, Bhajji batted at a strike rate of over 137 in the IPL.

Singh, who was conferred the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian honour, in 2009. , retired from all forms of cricket in December 2021.

2022 Abu Dhabi T10 is the sixth season of the Abu Dhabi T10. The tournament will be played from 23 November to 4 December 2022 at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium. Like each of the first five seasons, the matches will be played in a 10-over-a-side format. Delhi Bulls, the team Singh will join, has never won the trophy, but they made it to the finals in the last two seasons.
