After an exciting bit of a season for England's Ben Stokes and coach Brendon McCullum who fought back hard to change the fortune of their side after taking over in June.

The duo have been incredible together as they have played an aggressive brand of cricket while getting the best out of every other player.

Now, in the recent drawn series against New Zealand where they lost the second match by a bare margin of 1 run, the skipper was struggling with the knee injury that held him back from bowling too much.

This led to many questions being asked by the fans and pundits regarding his IPL stint with his franchise Chennai Super Kings.

However, coach McCullum has revealed that he fully trusts the CSK management to support and take care of him throughout the season. He even referred to the side's coach Stephen Fleming as his good mate and revealed that he will be having a good discussion with him.

"I don't think he's jeopardising it. The Chennai set-up is excellent in looking after their players and they've a very good medical team and he will be well looked after. The skipper has a strong mind and he knows how to get right for the big moments. His life is that, right? So I don't have any concerns. In fact I look forward to watching him play in it and see, without captaincy as well.

Moreover, he revealed that Stokes is really determined to play in the Ashes and hopefully, he would return fully fit from the two-month-long tournament in May.

"So I'll be talking to Fleming and making sure he looks after the skipper, but I know that Chennai set-up actually. I played in that franchise and they're very good. They've got a good team and an outstanding leader in Flem."

The IPL begins on the 31st of March with the opening clash between defending champions Gujarat Giants and MS Dhoni's CSK at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
