After a horrendous home series against England and New Zealand, expect changes to be made surrounding the Pakistan team. It is expected that the new selection regime will appoint three seperate captains for three different formats.

According to reports in Pakistan, Babar Azam will continue to lead the T20I side, but is likely to lose the captaincy in other formats.

After a stellar comeback in the recent series against New Zealand, Sarfaraz Ahmed is tipped to take over the captaincy charge of the Test format, while Shan Masood is expected to lead the ODI side. However, his selection will be subject to improvement in his performance.

Masood was recently appointed the vice-captain for the ODI series against New Zealand, but according to the sources, senior players were not happy with his appointment.

Babar was not consulted regarding Masood's appointment, but future coach, Mickey Arthur's opinion mattered for the board.

Babar's captaincy has come under scrutiny after not winning a single home Tests against Australia, England and New Zealand. And now it is reported that Safaraz, who scored 335 runs against the Kiwis in the two-match Test series will take over the reigns once again.
