Ahead of the highly anticipated WTC final clash, Australian players weigh in on their 'impression' of Virat Kohli, the star Indian batter. The one-off decider match between the top-ranked Test sides, India and Australia, is set to be played at the Oval from June 7 to 11 in London.

For the past decade, Virat Kohli has established himself as a cricketing legend, excelling in all formats of the game, and he still continues to dominate the biggest stages. His consistency has made him an inspiration for countless young cricketers looking to follow in his footsteps.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) shared a video ahead of the marquee event, featuring Australian players like Cameron Green, Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, Pat Cummins, and Mitchell Starc, sharing their thoughts on former Indian skipper Virat Kohli.

While the young Australian all-rounder Cameron Green called Kohli as "The Man of India," Smith described him as a "superstar" who loves playing against Australia. Warner recognised the star batter for his breathtaking cover drives.

Here’s how the Australian players described Kohli:

Cameron Green said:

“The man of India, that he has been for quite a while, and he’s been leading the team for the last decade basically and being so successful.”

Steve Smith said:

“He’s been a superstar for a long time, loves playing against Australia, often scores runs against us, but hopefully we can keep him quiet this week.”

David Warner said:

"Unbelievable cover drive”

Meanwhile, Usman Khawaja described Kohli as "competitive.” The Australia Test captain Pat Cummins, who has been a nightmare for Kohli in the longest format, called him ‘a good player, who is always up for a fight.

Marnus Labuschagne described Kohli as:

“One of the greats. I mean, all-format is great. Hopefully, not so great this week.”

Australia’s seasoned pacer Mitchell Starc said:

"Very skillful. Have dominated for a long time. Backbone of the middle-order."

Virat Kohli has been in sensational form lately, making him the linchpin of India's batting lineup heading into the WTC final. His exceptional performance in the IPL 2023 saw him finish as the second-highest run-scorer for the Royal Challengers Bangalore with 639 runs in 14 matches at a strike rate of around 140.
