In a significant turn of events, former Australian skipper Aaron Finch has confirmed his participation in the upcoming Legends League Cricket (LLC) season.

The veteran opening batter, who recently bid adieu to international cricket, expressed his excitement at featuring in the league and playing against legendary ex-cricketers.

"I am really excited to be joining Legends League Cricket, I think it is a fantastic initiative and looking forward to playing with and against a lot of high quality former international cricketers."

Meanwhile, the Co-founder and CEO of LLC, Mr Raman Raheja gleefully welcomed the Australian great to the showpiece event, expressing his satisfaction at giving the recently retired players a platform to express themselves on the cricket field.

"When we started Legend League Cricket, we were sure to bring in every player back into the field, who has retired from the international cricket. Most of the cricketers went on, to either become commentators, coaches or opened their cricket academy, despite having lots of cricket left in them. Even the fans want to see them in action. It gives immense satisfaction and happiness to welcome Aaron to be on board to play with us at LLC Masters."

Regarded as one of the fiercest hitters of the ball, Finch enjoyed stellar success for Australia in ODI cricket, amassing 5406 runs, including seventeen centuries, in 146 appearances.

The 36-year-old had an equally fruitful T20I career, garnering 3120 runs at an impressive strike rate of 142.53.

Furthermore, the swashbuckling right-handed batter proved his mettle as a captain to perfection, leading Australia to their maiden T20 World Cup title in 2021.

Finch recently had an outstanding BBL 12 campaign, finishing as the top run-scorer for Melbourne Renegades in the tournament. So, considering his recent form and experience, we expect Finch to have a blockbuster debut in the LLC this season.
