As a bowler you have to find a way to become successful: Kagiso Rabada

South African pace spearhead Kagiso Rabada admitted in the pre-series press-conference that T20 is a batters game and that bowlers need to find ways to be successful.

Rabada was speaking to the media for the first time ahead of the T20I series opener against India in Thiruvananthapuram.

Rabada will once again be South Africa's key exponent against a power packed Indian batting line-up, which is coming off a successful outing against the Australians.

Here's what Kagiso Rabada said

"I will say that T20 is a batter's game. Bringing in things like two new balls, it's all to encourage higher scores. As a bowler, you have to find a way to become successful," as quoted by India Today."

Can India break their South African hoodoo?

The upcoming T20I series will be a golden chance for Team India to finally do something they have never done against the Proteas on home soil i.e win the T20I rubber.

India have hosted South Africa thrice for a bilateral T20I rubber, and on both occasions, the rainbow nation came out unscathed.

While they won 2-0 in 2015 against the MS Dhoni-led unit, the 2019 and 2022 rubber (a five-match series earlier this June) ended in a stalemate- 1-1 and 2-2 respectively.

India have played a total of 2 Tests, 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is against South Africa this calendar year but have managed to win just 2 games.

Both of those victories came in T20Is earlier this June.

The T20I will kickoff in Thiruvananthapuram on Friday, before it moves to Guwahati on October 02 and to Indore on October 05.

The T20I series will be followed by a three-match ODI series, which will take place between October 06-11.
