India and Punjab Kings left-arm seamer Arshdeep Singh had a rare bad day at the office on Friday night as he ended up registering his most expensive figures- 1/54 in 4 overs- in his IPL career.
Singh, just like his other Punjab Kings' mates, was taken to the cleaners by the rampaging LSG batting-unit, led by Kyle Mayers and Marcus Stoinis.
Arshdeep endured a worse possible start to his spell as he was taken to the cleaners by Windies southpaw Mayers in the 2nd over of the innings. Mayers struck Arshdeep for 4 fours to kickstart a never-ending assault, carried to greater heights by Stoinis, Nicholas Pooran and Ayush Badoni.
Singh came back well in his 2nd spell as he gave away just 9 and 12 runs in his 2nd and 4th over, which, given the fact that they were delivered during the last 6, and amid a rampaging tornado, were worth its weight in gold.
However, he was taken apart by Pooran in his 3rd over 17th of the innings- as the stylish southpaw hammered him for 3 fours.
Singh finally finished with figures of 1/54 in 4 overs, which is the highest he has conceded in his 45-match IPL career.
