Aakash Chopra Questions Arjun Tendulkar's Place vs GT

Arjun Tendulkar has seen a few ups and lows in his brief three-match career in the Indian Premier League. However, after remarkable games in his first two IPL outings, Junior Tendulkar tasted how it is to be a bowler in the T20 format - which is usually unrewarding for bowlers.

Against Punjab at Wankhede, Arjun Tendulkar got a beating from Sam Curran and Harpreet Bhatia, who thwacked him for 31 runs in a single over, which forced Rohit Sharma to change his plans in the death overs.

Mentioning Arjun Tendulkar and Mumbai Indians' bowling choices for Tuesday's much-hyped clash against Gujarat Titans, erstwhile commentator Aakash Chopra said the upcoming left-arm seamer won't be a sure-shot starter, considering their foreign pace trio is fit now.

"There are a few concerns in bowling. You will see either Jason Behrendorff or Riley Meredith along with Jofra Archer. Whether Arjun Tendulkar will play or not, I am not 100% certain. To be very honest, you see a few weaknesses in bowling," Chopra stated on his YouTube channel.

While backing his statement, the cricketer-turned-commentator stated Piyush Chawla's experience in Mumbai's frail bowling attack.

"Piyush Chawla has done exceedingly well but he didn't bowl his entire quota of overs. Someone said he was injured. He got injured in the 15th over and spin wasn't supposed to come after that in any case. He should have finished his over before that."

On Tuesday, fourth-positioned Gujarat will face the five-time champions Mumbai Indians at Ahmedabad, which is expected to be a clash of the titans.
