The IPL carnival has arrived at a brand-new location. Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Punjab Kings are all set to fight it out at the Barsapara Stadium, Guwahati which will be the second home of RR in this IPL.

RR vs PBKS Toss

Both the teams have started their IPL 2023 campaign with a win and this is an opportunity for them to take that momentum forward. RR were at their dominant best against SRH while PBKS also played some good cricket in a rain-curtailed game.

So, when Sanju Samson won toss, there was a huge cheer in the ground and the RR skipper decided to bowl first in the first-ever IPL game at Guwahati.

Also, Rajasthan have decided to go with the same team that did wonders for them in the first game. Shikhar Dhawan, the PBKS skipper, was also in a candid mood and they are also going with an unchanged squad, that means there will be no Kagiso Rabada in this game for them.

Here's what the two captains said at toss:

Sanju Samson (Rajasthan Royals Captain): "We would like to bowl here first. There won't be much dew and it won't matter much if we bowl first or bat first. But we would like to chase. Its a great initiate to held matches here. I think we all are really loving it. I think we are fortunate to have one week camp here. No sir, we are going with the same line-up. It's very happy to see them grow. They have been a part for the last 3-4 years. I think, Riyan Parag, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurel, and others. They have been taking a feather off from Jos Buttler, R Ashwin, and others."

Shikhar Dhawan (Punjab Kings Captain): "We guys have practiced bowling with dew when the camp was going on. We all know that dew comes. This is not the first time nor the last time. Of course I wanted to bowl first as well because of the dew factor and I feel already there's a bit of a dew. But its alright, we are used to it.I just go day-by-day rather than thinking too much ahead and put too much pressure on myself. What has happened in the past has passed, you cannot change it but what you are doing in the present and how you are keeping the environment matters. The process matters the most and things will fall in place as they should be.Same XI, same batting XI. Rajasthan Royals are a very good side and it will be a good cricket. That's what we want to play good cricket, give our best."

Both the teams wanted to bowl first and let's see how things pan out in front of a passionate crowd in Assam.
