In what seemed would be a high-scoring thriller, Suryakumar Yadav ensured that Mumbai Indians (MI) win the match in a convincing manner against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) last evening, and surge ahead in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 points table. Chasing 200, Yadav smoked to a 35-ball 83 laced with seven fours and six towering sixes to help Mumbai reached their target in 16.3 overs.

Coming into bat at 52 for 2, Yadav in alliance with youngster Nehal Wadhera stitched a 140-run stand for the third wicket, which turned the tide in Mumbai's favour despite a poor star.

Yadav, who won the player of the match award, was later hailed by former India captain Sourav Ganguly as the best T20 player in the world. The Mumbai-born is currently ranked No.1 in ICC T20 Ranking for Batters with 906 points.

Taking to the social media platform Twitter, the former Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president also coined SKY's batting computer-like.

Here's what Dada tweeted

"Surya Kumar yadav the best T20 player in the world .. it seems he bats on a computer .. @surya_14kumar @mipaltan"

The 32-year-old is the leading run-getter for MI this season with 376 runs which include four half-centuries and one duck.

With this win over RCB, Rohit Sharma and Co. have moved to the third position in the points table, and will play defending champions Gujarat Titans on Friday.
