Sydney Thunder Women will lock horns with Hobart Hurricanes Women in the second match of the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) 2022 at the Blacktown International Sportspark in Sydney on Friday, October 14. 

Both teams had seasons to forget the last time. While Sydney Thunders finished at second last spot with four wins in 14 matches, Hobart Hurricanes ended at the sixth position with just five wins. 

However, with a new season and some new faces on the roster, both teams will look to turn around their red-ball fortunes and go the distance this season. All in all, an exhilarating T20 match awaits in Sydney.

  • Lizelle Lee: The star South African batter has a rich experience playing in the Women's Bash League. She has got 1361 runs under her belt in 53 WBBL matches she played thus far. 
  • Elyse Villani: She was the highest run-getter for the Melbourne Stars last year with 439 runs in 12 matches. She will be one of the key batters for Hobart Hurricanes this year. 
  • Mignon du Preez: She was the leading run-scorer for Hobart Hurricanes Women last year with 414 runs in 14 matches. She will be looking for another great season in WBBL. 
  • Molly Strano: She enjoyed a good run of form last season with both bat and ball. She scored 145 runs with the willow, while with the ball she picked up 15 wickets in 14 matches.
