UAE-based International League T20 (ILT20) announced the list of players, who have signed on to compete in the inaugural season on Monday (August 8).

To everyone's surprise, Chris Lynn was the only Australian on the list of more than 50 players. Moreover, he marked his presence as one of the 21 marquee players named in the first set.

Australia's homegrown Big Bash League (BBL) is slated to be played from December to February. On the flipside, ILT20 will be played in January.

Recently, it was reported that the top 15 Aussie players were offered a big contract from the ILT20. However, it seems like Cricket Australia (CA) have managed to convince the players to be a part of the BBL.

Furthermore, top-order batter David Warner, who was assumed to be the most interested participant is absent from the list. With the cancellation of the bilateral series against South Africa in January, Warner is set to feature in the BBL.

To date, Warner has featured in only 3 BBL matches and slammed 153 runs. The 35-year-old is expected to ply his trade for Sydney Thunder in the upcoming season.

Chris Lynn to take NOC to participate in ILT20

The swashbuckling batter Lynn is the top-scorer in the BBL history with 3005 runs in 100 innings. The 32-year-old has featured for only a single team, Brisbane Heat in his entire BBL career.

However, Heat declined to offer Lynn a new deal ahead of the 2022-23 season. The split between the two parties is expected to be a trigger for the BBL great to express his interest in the ILT20.

It is being reported that Lynn will need to be granted a No Objection Certificate (NOC) by CA to compete in the inaugural season of ILT20.
