West Indies opener whacked 17 from just seven before he was bounced out by Arshdeep Singh in the second over of the fourth T20I in Lauderhill. His partner Brandon King also fell early to the speedster inside the powerplay overs.

Despite early jolts from Arshdeep, West Indies number three Shai Hope kept the momentum going as the hosts raced to 55-2 in their six overs.

Shai Hope ensured West Indies were left unfazed by the openers’ early dismissals as took the attack to Indian pacers in the powerplay. He registered an unbeaten 19 from just 11 before he was joined by Nicholas Pooran at the stroke of the sixth over.

Notably, Pooran also departed soon after, as he was holed out by Suryakumar Yadav to become spinner Kuldeep Yadav’s first wicket of the innings.


What to expect from the remaining overs?

India, in their pursuit of enforcing a series-decider at the same venue, will be looking to pile on their newfound momentum by keeping a dangerous Hope at bay.
