Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Faf du Plessis summed up his teams' effort against SRH pretty well when he said that it was an 'amazing run-chase'.

Indeed, it was an amazing run-chase, orchestrated beautifully by du Plessis' partner, and former RCB skipper, Virat Kohli, who showcased his full range in what was an audacious knock of 100 off just 63 deliveries.

While Faf has been the aggressor throughout this season, this time it was Virat who took the onus on himself to send the SRH fielders on a leather hunt.

Kohli was brilliantly supported by Du Plessis, who himself belted a brilliant 47-ball 71.

The duo went on to add 172 runs for the 1st wicket, and by the time they were in the pavilion, the game was done and dusted.

Speaking in the post-match presentation, Du Plessis heaped high praise on his players while also delving into the reasons why he and Kohli make such a destructive pair at the top.

"Amazing chase isn't it! That's my first reaction. Did feel walking off after first innings that it was a very good wicket. Felt 200 was a par score. Not many balls turned for the spinners. We're doing the right things from a batting perspective. In previous game we were also clinical with the ball. We complement each other really well (partnership with Kohli). We play in very different areas so it's difficult to bowl to. We're good mates on and off the field. We're going back to Chinnaswamy which will be an amazing game. A lot of fans coming in and another must-win for us."

The Royal Challengers will now head to the Chinnaswamy Stadium where they will host table-toppers Gujarat Titans in a bid to make it to the playoffs on May 21.
