Experienced Sri Lankan spinner Wanindu Hasaranga has enjoyed stellar success in the ongoing ICC World Cup qualifiers in Zimbabwe. After dismantling UAE with a spectacular six-wicket haul, the wily tweaker derailed Oman's batting line-up on Friday, scalping three wickets in a single over.

After opting to bowl first, Sri Lanka had an outstanding start, as Lahiru Kumara and Kasun Rajitha ran through Oman's top order, scalping four wickets inside ten overs.

However, experienced batters Jatinder Singh and Ayaan Khan steadied the ship for Oman, adding 52 runs before Hasaranga wreaked havoc to push them down on the mat.

Bowling the 21st over, the crafty leg-spinner trapped Singh plumb in front of the stumps in the first delivery before castling Shoaib Khan with a well-disguised googly two balls later. If that wasn't enough, Hasaranga concluded his eventful over in style, dismissing Jay Odedra in the final delivery.

His bowling masterclass paved the way for Sri Lanka's remarkable comeback in the game, preventing Oman from posting a defendable total.

As of writing, Oman are struggling badly, reeling at 94 for eight in 27.3 overs, with Ayaan Khan and Fayyaz Butt batting on 41* and 9*, respectively.
