BCCI To Announce Champions Trophy 2025 Squad Tomorrow? Check Latest Reports

India will be looking to restore their prestige in the international arena after their humiliating defeat in the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. The next big assignment for the Indian team will be the Champions Trophy 2025.

India will be keen on sending their best squad for the tournament and putting in their best display. 

India Squad For Champions Trophy Announcement Date

The governing body for international cricket, ICC gave the teams a deadline of January 12 to announce their squad for the Champions Trophy 2025. However, the Indian team sighted that they were engaged in the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 so a further extension to be given for them to announce their squad. The date for the Indian board was extended till January 18 or 19 to reveal the preliminary squad. Notably, the teams will be allowed to make changes to their squad for the tournament till February 13, 2025.

As far as revealing the squad is concerned, the latest reports suggest that India will be announcing their squad on January 18, 2025.

Keen Eye On Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav's Selection

Jasprit Bumrah picked up a back spasm during the last Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2025 and was not able to bowl for them during the second innings of the game. Since, then there has been a cloud of speculation over the ace pacer's selection in the tournament.

Besides Bumrah, a keen eye will also been on whether Kuldeep Yadav gets selected or not. There were reports of the left-arm wrist spinner nursing an injury and the BCCI monitoring his situation of the CT 2025 squad selection. 

As per the reports, the Chief Selector of India, Ajit Agarkar and Indian skipper Rohit Sharma will attend a press conference in the morning and reveal the squad of the team.
