Mahmudullah has been a great servant for Bangladesh cricket and has now retired from T20Is after the third and final T20I against India in Hyderabad. He played 141 T20Is for Bangladesh and even led them in T20 World Cups. In his final game, he could manage just eight runs, but was given a warm applause from Indian crowd and players from both sides which clearly displayed how much he is respected in world cricket.

The wicket of Mahmudullah came on the second delivery of the 15th over. Bangaldesh were chasing a huge target of 298 and were 130-4. Mayank Yadav was the bowler and he was hit for a four on the first delivery. On the next ball, the Bangladesh legend tried to hit one out of the park, but did not get the desired timing and power behind his shot and ended up hitting it straight to long on where Riyan Parag took the catch comfortably.

After the wicket, as Mahmudullah started walking off the field, Suryakumar Yadav, the Indian skipper ran towards him, shake hands and gave a nice little pat on his shoulder. He congratulated Mahmudullah for his fantastic career and the whole stadium was on its feet applauding the Bangladesh veteran.

Bangladesh eventually managed just 164 runs in their 20 overs and India won the game by a record margin of 133 runs. India's win though was setup by their batters with Sanju Samson leading the charge. The wicketkeeper batter smashed 111 off 47 balls while Suryakumar Yadav also hit 75 off just 35 balls as India recorded the highest-ever T20I score by a Test playing nation. The total proved too hot to handle for Bangladesh and the visitors ended the tour without a single win.
