West Indies and Bangladesh are engaged in a close affair in the third T20I of the series at the Arnos Vale cricket stadium in Kingstown, West Indies. There have been plenty of twist and turns in the game already in the first innings.

Jaker Ali Revived Bangladesh From A Slump

Bangladesh won the toss ahead of the game and opted to bat first. Litton Das and Parvez Hossain Emon gave a great start to the team as they moved very quickly. However, the departure of the two openers brought West Indies back into the game and they soon started taking command of the match.

At one stage, Bangladesh were struggling at 114/6 in the 15th over. It looked like they will fail to post a competitive total on a relatively batting friendly wicket. However, Jaker Ali turned things around for his team with a brilliant 72 not out of 41 deliveries.

Jaker Ali Shows Great Sportsman Spirit

Ali's stay in the middle was full of significant happenings. The first of these happened during the first delivery of the 14th over. It was a short delivery outside the off stump by Motie that was pulled away in the air by Ali towards deep mid-wicket.

The West Indian pacer, Obed McCoy was fielding the deep and he ran in to take the catch. It was a brilliant effort by the fielder however he failed to take the catch and in the process landed badly getting injured. Jaker Ali had completed a couple of runs by then and there was a chance for the third. However, Ali noted McCoy on the ground and signalled his partner to refrain from taking a run.

Cricket is known as the gentleman's game this was a perfect example of the spirit of the game. The gesture by Ali earned him praise from across the commentators and the cricketing fraternity.
