The wicket occurred when Rahmat Shah attempted a high-risk slog sweep, aiming to send the ball across the boundary. However, his execution was far from perfect as he ended up getting a top edge. The ball soared high into the air, creating a moment of anxiety for both teams. Litton Das, the Bangladesh skipper, kept his composure and expertly called for the catch. With safe hands, he secured the dismissal, leaving Rahmat Shah to trudge back to the pavilion.

This wicket proved to be a turning point in the match, as Afghanistan lost their second crucial wicket. Bangladesh was quick to capitalize on this breakthrough, further tightening their grip on the game.

As of writing, Afghanistan is at 97-2 at the end of 22 overs.
