Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan has been struggling with the bat, and it was no different in the third and final T20I against Australia on November 18 at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart. Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat first, hoping to avoid a whitewash by the hosts, who already lead the series 2-0.

Farhan, along with former captain Babar Azam, walked out to the middle with high hopes. However, Australia left-arm pacer Spencer Johnson, the star of the previous match, struck early to break the partnership.

In just the second over of Pakistan’s innings, Johnson made an immediate impact. He bowled a hard length outside off to Farhan, who went for a pull shot but got hurried by the pace. The result was a top edge, and Xavier Bartlett, stationed at mid-wicket moved in to take a simple catch. Farhan was dismissed for just 9 runs off 7 balls.

In the ongoing T20I series, the 28-year-old batter has struggled to find form, managing only 22 runs across three innings at a strike rate of 104.76.

Earlier in this morning, Pakistan made two changes: Mohammad Rizwan and Naseem Shah were rested for this final ODI, and Salman Agha is currently leading Pakistan in this final showdown. At the time of writing this article, Pakistan are at 67 for 3 after 8 overs, with Babar Azam and Agha Salman at the crease.
