After securing a thumping 228-run victory over arch-rivals Pakistan, India got off to a dream start against Sri Lanka in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 fixture at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Riding on confidence following their exceptional outing in the previous game, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill went berserk right from the word go, ensuring a great start for team India in the all-important fixture. 

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma, who slammed a blistering fifty versus Pakistan, got off the mark with a glorious boundary. Sri Lanka's opening bowler Kasun Rajitha bowled a full delivery, inviting Sharma to go for a drive.
