In a nail-biting clash between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Delhi Capitals (DC) at the iconic Eden Gardens, tensions soared as Rishabh Pant, the skipper of DC, couldn't hide his frustration when Lizaad Williams grassed a straightforward chance off the bat of Phil Salt.

The moment unfolded during Khaleel Ahmed's over when Salt attempted to send the ball soaring over the field. With a full-pitched delivery clocking at 140.1 kilometers per hour, Salt mistimed his shot, sending the ball high into the air. 

As the ball hung tantalizingly above the mid-on region, Williams positioned himself under it. However, what should have been a simple catch turned into a nightmare for DC as Williams, despite initially appearing to have it under control, failed to hold onto the ball, allowing it to slip through his hands and crash onto his shoulder before spilling onto the grass.

The anguish on Pant's face was evident as he watched the missed opportunity. With DC already facing an uphill battle, every chance was crucial, and Williams' error only added to their woes.
