In Indian conditions, whenever the team needs a wicket, the captain throws the ball to Ravichandran Ashwin who hardly disappoints with the red cherry in his hand. Ashwin once again did the wonders and when Rohit needed a wicket, the off-spinner struck to dismiss Devon Conway.

After dismissing India for a paltry 46, New Zealand batters came out all guns blazing, with Conway leading the charge. With bright sunshine, the pitch conditions got better and the Kiwi openers took advantage of it. Conway came with an aggressive mindset and took on the Indian bowlers with ease.

He nullified the Indian spinners with his attacking mindset and was etching closer to his hundred when Ashwin struck. Devon Conway wanted to take on the off-spinner as he went for full throttle and lost his wicket. Ashwin bowled a fuller delivery on the stumps and the Kiwi batter missed his attempted reverse sweep as the ball shattered the stumps.

India bamboozled for 46 by Matt Henry

Matt Henry once again turned out to be India's nemesis as he bagged a 5-wicket haul to rattle the Indian batters. He picked up the wickets of Sarfaraz Khan, Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin, Rishabh Pant and Kuldeep Yadav to bundle out the home team for a paltry 46.

With the ball doing enough from the surface, the right-arm quick bowler took advantage and bowled some lovely deliveries to push India on the backfoot. He was amply supported by promising pacer, William ORourke, who scalped 4-wickets as India had no answer against them.

With 2 days ended, India are playing a chasing game and need to be at their absolute best to win the game from this situation..
