[Watch] Perfect Left-Armer's Dismissal: Shoriful Islam Uproots Livingstone's Off-Stump

In an innings, where the Bangladeshi bowlers have been thumped left, right and centre, Shoriful Islam has been the pick of the bowler. Taking three wickets in his spell, the left-arm seamer was on a hat-trick at one moment when he sent England's dangerous Liam Livingstone packing.

On the first delivery he was facing in the day, Livingstone got dished a perfect left-armer's delivery - a ball that pitched at the right line and length and did the perfect bit. The ball pitched at a good length around off-stump, and it came late into the right-hander, who got early on his flick to get his off-stump uprooted.

The 22-year-old seamer tried becoming the first bowler to get a hat-trick in the ICC World Cup 2023, but he marginally fell short against Sam Curran after overcooking a yorker to bowl a low full-toss.

Earlier in the innings, the young seamer removed Joe Root on 82 and Jos Buttler during his spell of 3/66 after nine overs. Despite Shoriful's heroics, the English team are heading towards a mammoth total and could get to close to 370 runs.

At the time of writing, England are at 337/7 after 47 overs.
