Jason Behrendorff has been one of the most consistent bowlers in Australian circuit for quite a few years now and has delivered both in franchise leagues and for his country. He plays for MI in the Indian Premier League (IPL) while in the BBL, he is a star performer for Perth Scorchers.

In the knockout game of the 13th edition of the BBL, Jason Behrendorff has again delivered for his side by drawing first blood. He took the first wicket of D' Arcy Short and it was courtesy of a brilliant catch by him off his own bowling.

It was the second ball of Behrendorff's first over and he decided to bowl a length delivery, angling into middle and leg. The plan was to cramp D' Arcy for room and it worked brilliantly. Short tried to work it towards the leg side but got the leading edge that lopped up in the air towards the left of Behrendorff.

The tall left-handed pacer who was moving on the opposite side on his follo through, sensed an opportunity and immediately moved towards the ball. He then dived to his left and forward, taking a brilliant catch that left everyone in awe. The fact that Behrendorff is a tall bowler, the catch becomes even tougher for him, but he nailed it brilliantly with great commitment and technique.
