LSG star Arshin Kulkarni listed a chanceless century against USA in India’s final Group A match of the ongoing Under-19 World Cup 2024 in South Africa. The 19-year-old opening batsman unleashed eight boundaries and three sixes in his landmark knock, thus setting up India’s commendable 326-run total upfront.

After he flicked USA speedster Arya Garg past fine leg for a boundary to bring up his hundred, the Maharashtra-based batting prodigy also received an adorable thumbs-up from his parents.

Opening the batting for India, Arshin Kulkarni lost partner Adarsh Singh in the 12th over of the innings before he shared 155 runs for the second wicket with number three Musheer Khan. Kulkarni also added 56 runs with captain Uday Saharan, during which he completed his chanceless century against the USA at Bloemfontein’s Mangaung Oval.

Upon completing the landmark run with a boundary, the 19-year-old received an adorable thumbs-up from his parents, who had attended the iconic South African venue to witness their son in action.

Arshin Kulkarni was eventually dismissed a while later by USA’s right-arm pacer Ateendra Subramanian for 108. Apart from Kulkarni’s well-paced ton, number three Musheer Khan scored a near run-a-ball 73 while captain Uday Saharan formed 35 crucial runs.

Priyanshu Moliya, Sachin Dhas and wicketkeeper Aravelly Avanish provided India their death-overs impetus with fiery cameos as the ‘Boys in Blue’ blazed their way to a competitive 326-5 by the end of their 50 overs.

Earlier in the tournament, Arshin Kulkarni scored 32 runs against Ireland and picked up a crucial match-defining wicket against Bangladesh Under-19.
