Shamar Joseph was breathing fire against the South African side during the first innings of the second Test match. He bowled a fiery spell to grab his first 5-wicket haul in a home Test.

Joseph, the hero of the Gabba Test for the Windies, showcased his class once again as he picked up wickets at regular intervals to inflict a heavy damage on the visitors. One such brilliant delivery came when he knocked over a clueless Keshav Maharaj with a brilliant incoming delivery.

Joseph's fiery inswinger shatters Maharaj's stumps

He was too hot to handle as the South African batter looked shell-shocked after getting dismissed. Joseph bowled an in-seam delivery, which pitched outside the off and nipped back in to shatter the stumps. It was quick and Maharaj had little time to react as his stumps went flying.

Joseph finished with figures of 5/33 inside 14 overs as the Proteas were bundled out for a meagre 160. Not only Joseph, even Jayden Seales joined the fun and bowled arguably the delivery of the year to knock over Tony de Zorzi as South Africa were pushed on the back-foot right from the word go.

In reply, West Indies also had a poor start, losing their first wicket inside 2 runs. Left-arm seamer, Nandre Burger knocked over Mikyle Louis for a 6-ball duck.
