Young Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal couldn't convert his start into a big score as Shahbaz Ahmed outfoxed him in the ongoing IPL 2024 qualifier 2 between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals.

The incident occurred during the eighth over of RR's innings when Jaiswal was helping them cruise towards the target with his stroke play.

Introducing Shahbaz Ahmed into the attack proved to be a masterstroke from Pat Cummins, with the ace left-arm spinner getting rid of the well-set Jaiswal.

After conceding nine runs, including a six, off his first four deliveries, Shahbaz bowled a flighted ball on the stumps, with Jaiswal hitting it in the air in a bid to clear the fence. However, he couldn't time it properly as the ball landed safely on Abdul Samad's hands.

After Jaiswal departed, the Royals lost the prized scalp of skipper Sanju Samson, who was caught magnificently by Aiden Markram near the boundary.

Riyan Parag also couldn't do much as Shahbaz made him his second victim in the twelfth over. Thus, despite bowlers' outstanding performance, the Royals have failed to stepped up with the bat, reeling at 79 for four in 11.2 overs, with Dhruv Jurel and R Ashwin batting in the middle.
