Experienced Indian cricketer Jemimah Rodrigues had a forgettable time on the field as she dropped a sitter in DC Women's ongoing WPL 2025 encounter against RCB Women in Vadodara. Her poor fielding effort awarded a lifeline to Danielle Wyatt-Hodge, who was looking sublime in the middle.

Jemimah's Fielding Blunder Proves Costly For DC Women

The incident occurred during the ninth over of RCB Women's innings when Wyatt-Hodge had already formed a scintillating stand with Smriti Mandhana for the first wicket. Soon after Mandhana completed her fifty, Wyatt-Hodge decided to take on the DC bowlers, trying to dominate ace Australian spinner Jess Jonassen.

From around the wicket, left-arm spinner Jonassen tossed the ball up, inviting Wyatt-Hodge to use her feet. As the batter danced down the track and connected the lofted inside out shot, the ball went straight to Jemimah Rodrigues, who was fielding near the extra cover fence.

However, the Indian cricketer couldn't hold on to the catch, dropping a straightforward chance and giving the DC batter a lifeline.
