India's promising opener Yashasvi Jaiswal stood tall for his side, playing a magnificent knock in the second innings of the ongoing Perth Test against Australia. Opening the batting for India, Jaiswal formed a valiant stand with KL Rahul, scripting India's remarkable fightback in the high-voltage Test match. However, despite Jaiswal playing some scintillating shots, his verbal battle with Mitchell Starc got the maximum attention.

The incident occurred during the 19th over of India's second innings when the Australian bowlers were searching for the opening breakthrough. Australian captain Pat Cummins persisted with his trump card Mitchell Starc, but Jaiswal capitalised on his poor line and length, collecting vital runs for the visiting team.

After scoring seven runs, including a boundary, off the first three balls, Jaiswal missed out on the next two deliveries. However, he didn't allow Starc to get into his groove by sledging him with an epic one-liner, "It's coming too slow".

Jaiswal, who was dismissed for a duck by Starc in the first innings, has looked superb in the second innings. With the pitch losing moisture and becoming better for batting, the southpaw has capitalised on the playing conditions and scoring opportunities, playing a vital role for the visitors.

India Stun Australia With A Magnificent Opening Stand

After bowling Australia out for 104 runs in their first innings, India have been absolutely clinical in the second innings. Rahul and Jaiswal have formed a steady partnership, breaking Rohit and Gill's record and registering the second-highest opening stand for India in Tests on Australian soil. At the time of writing, India were 100 for none, with Jaiswal and KL Rahul batting on 50* and 41*, respectively.
