Harpreet Brar has been magnificent with the ball for Punjab Kings in IPL 2024, but in the game against GT, he displayed his fielding skills as well with a brilliant catch to dismiss Vijay Shankar. The GT batter scored 8 off 10 balls but it was an important wicket as Shankar has the ability to go big in the death overs.

The wicket came on the fourth delivery of the 18th over and Rabada outfoxed him with a slower delivery. It was a touch short delivery as well, around off and Vijay Shankar tried to flat-bat it down the ground. However, he did not time it properly, and the ball went aerially towards right of the long off fielder. 

Brar there ran towards his right,  and took a brilliant low catch, diving forward to end Shankar's painful stay. It produced a very sad reaction from one of GT's fans in the stands which speaks a lot about the importance of the wicket. 

Gill though batted till the end, and took GT's score to 199 with good contributions from Sai Sudharsan, Williamson.

Tewatia too played a handy cameo and Punjab would be pretty disappointed with their bowling effort. Rabada took two wickets, Brar was economical and took an important wicket of Williamson, who replaced injured David Miller in this game.
