Ace Pakistani pacer Haris Rauf had a dream outing for Welsh Fire in The Hundred 2023 on Friday, as he dismantled the Southern Brave batting order through his scorching pace. Hailed for his ability to bowl fast, Rauf made it difficult to breathe for the Brave's batters, finishing with impressive figures of three for 27 in this process. After dismissing Finn Allen with a lethal bouncer, Rauf cleaned up George Garton with a dream delivery.

The incident happened in the ninth set as Welsh Fire skipper Tom Abell turned up to Rauf to provide the side with a breakthrough. The experienced speedster didn't disappoint, bowling a peach of a delivery, which seamed into the batter to send his off-stump cartwheeling.

Notably, Rauf didn't have a great game in Welsh Fire's previous fixture against Manchester Originals, as he went wicketless, conceding 15 runs in two sets. However, he was quick to turn things around and help his side gain an early advantage against the James Vince-led outfit.

However, Rauf's masterclass wasn't enough to lead Welsh Fire to victory, as they eventually lost the game by a narrow two-run margin. Chris Jordan's blistering 32-ball 70* powered Southern Brave to a respectable 147, which they defended courtesy of an exceptional spell from Tymal Mills.
