The celebrations return to India after nine months. After winning the T20 World Cup 2024, the 'Men in Blue' under the leadership of Rohit Sharma won the Champions Trophy 2025.

In the final of the Champions Trophy 2025, India faced New Zealand at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in the United Arab Emirates. New Zealand won the toss for the game and opted to bat first.

Courtesy of Daryl Mitchell and Michael Bracewell, New Zealand posted a challenging total of 251 runs on the board.

The target proved to be daunting for the Indian team. While Rohit Sharma's fluent innings laid the foundation for the chase, the task ahead was not made easier by the New Zealand bowlers. Mitchell Santner and his boys made life difficult for the Indian team taking the game close.

However, the Indian team won the battle of nerves and won the game by four wickets. After winning the match, the Indian players were seen celebrating their iconic win in the most ecstatic way possible.

Hardik Pandya played a crucial role in India's title-winning run in the tournament. Though he did not play the role of a lone match-winner in any of the games, he contributed effectively and grabbed the chances whenever he got one.
