Fakhar Zaman was in fine form throughout the ILT20 2025, however, in a tricky run chase against the MI Emirates, the Desert Vipers batter failed to deliver the goods and departed cheaply as the team struggled at the top. In a game where the Vipers needed 229 to win, Fakhar started on an aggressive route but perished eventually.

The Pakistan batter started off with a boundary, but played an erratic shot to throw away his wicket. The surface got a touch slower and MI Emirates bowler, Muhammad Rohit Khan delivered a length ball outside the off as Fakhar was a bit early in his shot and chipped it straight to the man at short covers.

The batter couldn't believe his luck as he looked dejected and walked off the field with a disappointing face. The bowler, however, was ecstatic as he celebrated the wicket in joy.

Once he departed for just 7, the entire batting lineup crumbled as in the quest to reach the target, the Desert Vipers lost a flurry of wickets.

Desert Vipers on the verge of defeat

Vipers are at the top of the table, however, they are on the verge of losing this contest. In bowling, the Vipers got the early inroad as Mohammad Amir struck gold, however, that was their last laugh as the team was taken apart by Andre Fletcher and Tom Banton.

While Fletcher remained unbeaten at 96, Banton went one step ahead and slammed a brilliant hundred as the team reached a mammoth 228/2. None of the Vipers bowlers was spared as the MI Emirates side made full use of the brilliant batting conditions available. In reply, the Vipers have already lost 7 wickets for 57 runs.
