Faf du Plessis is one of the finest overseas batters in the history of the IPL and his consistency at the top of the order has been top notch over the years. In the IPL 2024 too, he played few sparkling knocks and was looking good against GT too in match 45, but Sai Kishore outfoxed him in the fourth over.

It was the fifth ball of over and Sai Kishore bowled it tad short. Faf du Plessis went for the pull shot but ended up hitting it off the inner half of his blade and ended up hitting it left of Vijay Shankar at deep mid-wicket who covered good ground and took a fine catch.

It was a big wicket for GT, as Faf was batting brilliantly and hit three sixes and one four in his brisk 24-run knock of 12 balls.

Earlier, Gujarat Titans scored 200 while batting first after Faf du Plessis elected to bowl first. Sai Sudharsan lead the way for the home team and scored an unbeaten 84 off just 49 balls while Shahrukh Khan and David Miller also contributed with 58 and 26 respectively.
