Quinton de Kock failed to convert his excellent start into anything substantial on Saturday (April 27) in Match 44 of IPL 2024 between Lucknow Super Giants and Rajasthan Royals, taking place at Ekana Cricket Stadium.

After Sanju Samson won the toss and asked LSG to bat first, Quinton de Kock gave LSG a blistering start, smashing consecutive boundaries against Boult. The Kiwi pacer, who had a habit of picking wickets in the opening over, then came back in style.

Boult bowled a short of a good length delivery around the off stump, which de Kock tried to play on the on-side. However, the seam movement got the better of him, as off stump got shattered right after he missed the line altogether.

Boult was delighted, as it resulted in him regaining his fairy tale love story with first-wicket over.

At the time of writing this, Lucknow are 60/2 after 7.2 overs, with Deepak Hooda and KL Rahul in the middle, batting on 21* and 31* respectively. Avesh Khan is currently bowling for RR, as the partnership has reached to 49.
