Comical run-outs are not new in the game of cricket, and in almost every second match we witness miscommunication between two players which leads to a comical moment. One such incident occurred during the Emerging Asia Cup clash between Hong Kong and Afghanistan A.

The two teams desperately needed a win to stay alive in the contest, and while batting first, Afghanistan posted 133/5 on the board. However, despite all the on-field brilliance, the highlight of the day was the comical mixup between Nangeyaliya Kharote and Karim Janat.

Kharot played a fuller length ball towards the mid-on region and wanted to take a quick single as he ran quickly.

However, there was a slight miscoummunication between him and Janat as the non striker took a stride forward for a single, but halfway down the line, he backed out and ran towards the non strikers end.

By the time, even Kharote reached the same end as the ball reached towards the keeper and he had all the time in the world to dislodge the bails as Kharote departed in frustration.

Hong Kong A stunned Afghanistan

Hong Kong A sprung a surprise as they defeated Afghanistan in a rather one-sided affair. Chasing a tricky 132, Hong Kong A lost a couple of early wickets, but captain Nizakat Khan played a blinder and took the side past the winning line.

Nizakat scored a gritty 61 off 53 balls and was amply supported by Babar Hayat (39) as the duo helped the Hong Kong side clinched the game by 5-wickets to register a famous win against a compact Afghanistan side.
