During Match 20 of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024 on Monday, Islamabad United batter, Agha Salman played a stunning cameo against Peshawar Zalmi at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

The clash witnessed Salman's masterclass as he blazed a quick-fire 37 off 25 balls, a knock filled with four boundaries and a pair of sixes that left the crowd in awe.

The highlight of his innings, however, came in the 10th over, where Salman took on the challenge posed by Arif Yaqoob with a touch of class.

Facing a flighted delivery that was spinning away outside off stump, Agha Salman danced down the wicket, closing the distance to the pitch of the ball. His bat then swung in a beautiful arc, launching the ball over cover for a maximum that was nothing short of poetic justice.

Salman then decided to go once more into the breach on the very next delivery. This time, though his attempt to replicate the previous shot didn't middle as cleanly, the ball took a friendly bounce inside the boundary, only to be chased down by the long-off fielder.

However, the fielder's last touch was on the boundary rope, turning what could have been a brilliant save into a four for Salman.

Despite this scintillating effort, Salman's fireworks were prematurely extinguished in the following over when he fell victim to Salman Irshad, caught behind in an attempt to further accelerate the innings.

His departure left a sense of "what might have been" in the air, as fans pondered the heights Islamabad United could have reached with him continuing at the crease.

Thanks to Shadad Khan and Salman's efforts, the United Posted a gigantic total of 196 runs, which Peshawar could not chase despite Aamer Jamal's blistering 49-ball 87 down the order.
