Rachin Ravindra is one of the rising stars in world cricket and has delivered across formats for New Zealand. He is expected to play a crucial role for the Kiwis in the ODI Tri-series and Champions Trophy, but has not got off to a positive start to the journey. He played some flashy knocks in the initial few overs, and just when it seemed like he would carry on and get a big score, Abrar Ahmed removed him on the score of 25.

The southpaw scored his runs off just 19 balls which included five fours, but could not control his shot on the fourth delivery of the 8th over and Pakistan got their second wicket. On the third delivery of the same over, Rachin Ravindra hit a boundary down the ground and on the next ball, he tried to use his feet again and worked it towards the leg side.

The ball was full but slower through the air and Rachin Ravindra did not get the timing on it and hit it back to Abrar Ahmed who took a good low catch. Abrar Ahmed was all pumped up after the wicket and roared in anger towards Rachin Ravindra as the opener walked off the field disappointed.

Earlier, Mitchell Santner won the toss and decided to bat first, but Pakistan bowlers have not made things easy for the visitors and Shaheen Afridi started off with a wicket in the first over. New Zealand now has Kane Willamson and Daryl Mitchell at the crease and they would have to bat deep to take Kiwis to a strong total.
