The first Test between South Africa and Pakistan has packed all the heat that the fans want. The face-off which started earlier in the day at SuperSport Park, Centurion saw Pakistan batting first after South Africa opted to bowl.

During the chase, South Africa struggled with their batting. They got off to a shaky start and were further weakened when captain Temba Bavuma was dismissed by Aamir Jamal at the beginning of Day 2. Jamal was seemingly pleased as he celebrated the wicket aggressively.

Jamal Roars Fiercely After Sending Off Bavuma

During the fourth ball of the 37th over, Aamir Jamal gave a breakthrough for Pakistan. Jamal, bowling a good length delivery just outside off stump, tempted Temba Bavuma into a drive. Bavuma took a half stride forward and looked to drive through covers, but the ball took the thick edge of his bat and flew comfortably into the gloves of Mohammad Rizwan behind the stumps.

Jamal was exhilarated by the wicket as he celebrated aggressively throwing punches in the air. His animated facial expressions were a testament to the fact how important it was to pick up Bavuma who could have frustrated Pakistan if he stayed long at the crease.

Markram Holds Fort As Proteas' Middle-Order Topples

Bavuma's wicket was indeed a big buck for Pakistan as South Africa is struggling at the crease after the Men in Green posted 211 runs in their first innings. With Aiden Markram at the crease nearing his ton, the Proteas look stable for now but it can't hide the fact that they faced a collapse in the middle order which otherwise could have powered South Africa's innings to a better position. After Bavuma's dismissal, the Proteas were standing at 136-4 with Markram and David Bedingham on strike.
