Shamar Joseph, the tall right-arm seamer from Caribbean is all set to make his debut for Lucknow Super Giants in their high-profile encounter against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens.

The pacer who grabbed eyeballs with a match-winning performance against the Aussies in Gabba Test earlier this year, got his debut cap in the LSG huddle before the toss. 

Shamar Joseph was handed his cap by Krunal Pandya and will add more teeth to LSG’s bowling attack with his raw pace. The Guyana bowler can clock 150 kph and is a good replacement for Mayank Yadav who is out of action due to a side strain.

The pitch at Eden Gardens is expected to play true throughout the course of the game and we can expect a high-scoring encounter between two quality teams. As far as Joseph is concerned, he is a bit inexperienced in T20s and it would be interesting to see how he responds once the batters get going against him.
