Ruturaj Gaikwad Notches Fifty Against DC in His 50th IPL Match

The IPL 2023 season has been a prolific one for the Chennai Super Kings opener, Ruturaj Gaikwad. In the ongoing match against the Delhi Capitals, he smashed his third fifty of the season, and it came in his 50th IPL innings.
The milestone was reached in just 37 deliveries as CSK mount towards a big total in a mist-win encounter.
Gaikwad has formed a formidable partnership alongside Devon Conway and the duo have together added 1,000 runs in IPL (2022 and 2023 season combined).
The Indian batter started on an aggressive note, taking on the DC pacers. He started with a flurry of boundaries, but slowed down as the innings progressed. At one stage, he was 35 off 32 deliveries, but the right-handed batter quickly changed gears.
Gaikwad smashed Axar Patel for consecutive sixes in the 10th over to bring up his third fifty of the season. The onslaught continued when Kuldeep Yadav came against the CSK openers. The 26-year-old hammered him for three sixes in a row to rattle the DC spinner.
At the time of writing, CSK are 118 for for no loss inside 13 overs.
