In a final-over see-saw tussle, it were the Sultans who sneaked away with a three-run win, as they continue to maintain their table-topping run this PSL 2023 season.
Rizwan hammers maiden PSL ton in blockbuster knock
Multan Sultans skipper and senior opening batter Mohammad Rizwan unleashed his magnum opus PSL innings, clubbing Karachi Kings all across Multan Stadium with 110 brutal punches. The cricketer consumed 64 unbeaten deliveries in all, and dispatched 10 of them for elegant boundaries and six of them for effortless sixes.
His partner Shan Masood also listed a rapid 51, one which took just 33 balls to process. Following Masood’s dismissal, Rizwan formed a 109-run second-wicket stand with Rilee Rossouw, who contributed just 29 in the partnership. The Sultans eventually notched up 196-2 off their 20 overs, and took apart every single one of the Karachi Kings bowler put to use.

Captain Imad Wasim kept the chase alive following Vince’s dismissal with a barrage of sixes in the death overs. The left-hander clubbed five sixes in all, including four off the final two overs when the Kings were left to fetch another 40 runs for a win.
