England rode on Philip Salt's magnificent innings to outstage Pakistan by 8 wickets in the sixth T20I to level the series at 3-3 on Friday, September 30 at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

With Philip Salt hammering the Pakistan bowlers all around the park, the rest of the England batters didn't have much to do as it became a bit of one-way traffic.

Philip Salt bullied Pakistan bowlers

Chasing the stiff target of 170 runs, Philip Salt and Alex Hales were at their ravaging best as they put on an opening partnership of 55 runs in just 3.5 overs to not just throw Pakistan out of the game but bring their bowlers on their knees.

While Hales perished after scoring 27 off 12 balls, Philip Salt continued the onslaught and joined hands with Dawid Malan to put on a 73-run stand for the second wicket off just 34 balls.

Malan's (18-ball 26) stint in the middle was cut short as he fell prey to Shadab Khan's short-pitched delivery, which stayed low, only to hit him straight on the front pad.

Ben Duckett (16-ball 26) then joined the force in the middle and stitched an unbeaten 42 runs partnership with Philip Salt for the third wicket to take his side home in just 14.3 overs.

On the bowling front, Pakistan's all bowlers were taken to the cleaners with only Shadab Khan managing to eke out a couple of wickets while conceding 34 runs in his four-over spell.

Babar Azam's spirited knock propels Pakistan to 169/6

Earlier, Babar Azam hit a brisk unbeaten 87 off just 59 balls as Pakistan charted 169 for the loss of six wickets in the stipulated 20 overs after being asked to bat first.

The likes of Haider Ali (18), Iftikhar Ahmed (31), and Mohammad Nawaz (12) also chipped in with handy contributions to propel Pakistan to the challenging total.

For England, Sam Curran and David Willey picked two wickets each while Reece Topley and Richard Gleeson claimed one apiece.

Pakistan: 169/6 (20 Overs)

Babar Azam 87 (59)*, Iftikhar Ahmed 31 (21); Sam Curran 2/26 (4), David Willey 2/32 (4)
