One of the most common sayings in cricket is that - 'Catches win matches'. The New Zealand team is currently showing India and the cricketing fraternity the impact fielding can leave in a match.
Notably, India are currently playing against New Zealand in the 12th match of the Champions Trophy 2025. The Asia team was put to bat first after Mitchell Santner won the toss.
The Kiwi bowlers did a great job with the ball and put India under pressure with some early innings. While the bowlers were putting in the their best with tight line and lengths, the Kiwi fielders were supporting their bowlers equally well with some great fielding efforts.
The first effort that stunned the fans was by Glenn Phillips, who took a flying catch of Virat Kohli. This was followed by some brilliant ground fielding by the other fielders. Kane Williamson followed the suit of Phillips and took an one-handed stunner to get rid off Ravindra Jadeja.
The fielding of the Kiwis got the fans going on social media.
